Britain’s best-loved walking guides

94 Walking Guides:

•  67 Pathfinder® Guides

•  23 Short Walks Guides

•  3 City Walks Guides

•  Tarka Line Walks

In total more than 14,500 miles and circa 6,000 hours of walking.

If all the Pathfinder® Walks were unravelled and laid end to end you could walk the equivalent of London to Sydney.

Walks are available for every county in England and Wales and each mainland county in Scotland.

Long-established, our high-quality walking guides are professionally written and photographed, and each walk is illustrated by a large-scale Ordnance Survey route map with GPS references supplied for all route waypoints.

Created to offer the best walking in each area of coverage with routes that are:

Pleasurable – a splendid way to see and experience the wealth and variety that the British countryside has to offer from Cornwall to the Cairngorms

Accessible – walks for all seasons* starting from a convenient parking place or railway station

Achievable – something for everyone with a very wide range of walks for most ages, fitness levels and walking experience; great for family walking

Informative – each walk focuses on interesting local heritage and/or natural history with landmark pubs, country inns and tearooms or cafés passed en route highlighted in the text

Practical, walking related titles include: GPS for Walkers, Map Reading Skills and The Countryside Companion

The guides are protectively bound in a durable, weather-resistant cover with rounded corners for handily slipping into your rucksack or coat pocket.

*Most of the walks described will be safe to do, given due care and respect, at any time of the year in all but the most unreasonable weather.
