Carl Rogers worked in marketing as a Graphic Designer and Photographer for 20 years before moving into publishing in 2003. This enabled him to achieve his ambition of making his living from walking and scrambling with his camera. He was introduced to the mountains of Snowdonia by his parents as a child and began rock climbing at the age of 12. Since then he has walked, scrambled and climbed extensively throughout North Wales, Cumbria and the Scottish Highlands, with occasional trips to the Alps. He is married and has three children.
Writing and publishing guide books through Mara Books and Northern Eye Books. Writing, revising and illustrating a series of walking guides for North Wales, Cheshire and more recently the Lake District. Carl is always on the lookout for new authors who can add to this series and has recently published two titles on the history of mountaineering. Freelance graphic design and landscape photography. Would consider submissions on anything to do with North or South Wales, the Lake District, long distance trails or British mountain walking/scrambling.
