Publishing, writing, scriptwriting and directing.
My background is in marketing, copywriting and scriptwriting/directing. I ran a marketing agency and production company for over 15 years, working for a variety of clients including British Waterways, Dell Computers, the NHS and the Department of Education.
In 1999 we came up with idea of a walking website with content provided by its own users. We formed an immediate partnership with Ordnance Survey to offer maps for each walk. The site also pioneered the notion of paid-for content and the payment of royalties to contributors. Walkingworld now has tens of thousands of members and over 6000 walks.
My main work is in maintaining the Walkingworld website, handling feedback from our members and planning future development.
