A future author of outdoor narratives and magazine articles
Walking the National Trails of England, Scotland and Wales and other long-distance routes (Wales Coast Path, Scottish National Trail and future England Coast Path) —
Cycling around the North Sea and the Atlantic Seaboard
I have run a Blog (www.trailplanner.co.uk) for 6-years, which records my progress through the 19 National Trails of England, Scotland and Wales. This led to further walks, notably the Wales Coast Path. I am also a long-distance cyclist having completed the North Sea Cycle Route (6,000km) and Land’s End to John o’Groats (via the Wild Atlantic Way in Ireland for fun – 4,000km). Keeping a log and as an avid reader; I decided to start writing.
I have recently completed a book recalling my experiences of walking the National Trails and will finalise copy soon. I would like to contact agents, publishers and seek general advice on becoming an author, writing narratives on outdoor travel.
When not walking or cycling, I am a freelance IT consultant specialising in IT strategy and operating models after a career spanning 30-years at senior levels in many multi-national companies in Asia, Europe and the US.
“Follow the Acorn” – a narrative recalling my walking along the National Trails of England, Scotland and Wales.
