Short Biography

Steve Davison is an award-winning freelance writer and photographer specialising in hill walking and European and UK travel, with interests in geology, nature and native woodlands. A keen hill walker for many years and holder of a Mountain Leader (summer) Certificate; he has also worked as a part-time outdoor education instructor.

Professional Activities

Travel and outdoor writer and photographer for guidebooks and magazines.

Steve has written a number of books including several guides for Cicerone; further books are currently being researched. He also writes monthly walk features for Hampshire Life and Berkshire & Buckinghamshire Life.

Occasional contributor to other publications which have previously included: Destination France, Camping, Independent, Independent on Sunday, Trail, TGO and local newspapers.

Good working knowledge of PC based Microsoft Office software (Word, Publisher, Excel, PowerPoint and Access), also Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro; technical report writing
