Big Weekend – via Zoom
Sadly our Big Weekend 2020 has had to be cancelled due to Covid restrictions.
Our Big Weekend organiser Stan Abbott has made herculean efforts to keep this up and running, moving location and adapting to every change in the Coronavirus rules and restrictions as they came along. But ultimately the rising levels of virus and increasing levels of restriction mean that sadly it’s just not possible to hold the event in a physical location in any kind of meaningful way this year.
Our Treasurer/Membership Secretary Ronald has been processing deposit refunds at the same time as membership renewals are coming in so has beeen very busy! Hopefully all refends are now resolved – if not please get in touch with him on the treasurer’s email (NOT his personal one please).
The AGM and Awards ceremony will now be held online on 7 Nov 2020 by Zoom.
Connecting by Zoom:
Zoom is normally very intuitive and trouble free to connect into a meeting with.
However, for those of you new to Zoom or if you should experience issues with connection, I have hastily compiled a Zoom Troubleshooting Guide which would be worth looking at in advance.
It would also be very helpful to keep the meeting running smoothly if participants could find as quiet and interruption free space (of pets as well as humans!) to use while particpating in the AGM/Awards.
