Walking on Gran Canaria

Paddy Dillon

All of Paddy Dillon’s guidebooks to the Canary Islands have been reprinted with minor updates, and on this occasion Walking on Gran Canaria goes into a whole new edition. The authorities changed nearly all the signposts that help visitors to explore a network of stunning trails, so things needed to be checked. That meant that new pictures could be substituted for old, as well as new trails being slotted in, to replace old trails that are no longer as popular as they once were. Gran Canaria is the only one of the seven islands that hasn’t yet created its stage of the island-hopping GR131, so the author has done them a favour and created a coast-to-coast trek across the island until they get their act together.
