Kevin Sene is a scientist and writer of popular science, travel guide and technical books with a scientific background in water and climate.

Kevin is a keen hillwalker and photographer with a scientific background in water and climate.

He has written popular science books on the UK's natural phenemona and tidal bores, travel guides to the Mersey Estuary and the Cumbria and Lake District coast, and scientific books on the links between climate, floods and water resources.

He is a Fellow of both the Royal Geographical Society and the Royal Meteorological Society and he contributes to teaching and research at Lancaster University.

Kevin has worked and travelled extensively in Europe, Africa and Asia.

On a personal level, past trips include a coast-to-coast Pyrenees high level walk, solo cycle tours in Mexico, Central America, India and Nepal, and a long-distance walk around the watershed of Windermere as a volunteer with a Heritage Lottery funded project. He also flew microlights for many years after starting in hang gliding and paragliding.
