Steve Davison is an award-winning freelance writer and photographer specialising in hill walking and European and UK travel, with interests in geology, nature and native woodlands. A keen hill walker for many years and holder of a Mountain Leader (summer) Certificate; he has also worked as a part-time outdoor education instructor.

Steve has written a number of books including several guides for Cicerone; further books are currently being researched. He also wrote a monthly walk feature for Berkshire & Buckinghamshire Life for 8 years and for Hampshire Life for 7 years.
